With Chinese New Year coming up this month, Raffles City Mall has brought in some dancers from China to perform. In fact, the mall does this every year. There will usually be some performance and Chinese handicraft stalls.

Boat Ride From Boat Quay To Clarke Quay

Here's a short clip of a very noisy boat ride from Boat Quay to Clarke Quay. This used to be my usual way of getting to and from work occasionally when my office used to be in what is now the MOS building. It was my most favourite part of the day as it was really relaxing and I could enjoy the sights along the river as well as the breeze. Back then, the round trip used to only cost SGD2. Now, it costs an arm and a leg just to go one way. :-P

Anyway, in the clip... you'll get to see the tall buildings at Raffles Place, the bars and restaurants at Boat Quay, Empress Place and the new grey Parliament building. After Elgin Bridge, you'll see the colourful windows of the Ministry of Communications & Arts building (this building used to be the High Street Police Station), some construction of an apartment block and the bars and restaurants at Clarke Quay. Welcome Message & East Coast Park 2005 Video

Welcome to mediasushi: videos. :-) This is where I will be sharing with you the sights and sounds of where I live and where I've been. Most of the clips here will most likely be from my digital camera (Nikon Coolpix 5400) or mobile phone (Nokia 3230) so don't expect Spielberg quality. :-P Occasionally, I may use a borrowed digital video camera but it won't be that often!

Anyway, the first clip I'd like to share is one of my favourites... it's by East Coast Park. In the clip, you'll get to hear the ships out at sea sounding their foghorns, see some kids play by the beach, hear the lapping of the waves and see a silly lone canoer paddling along near the shoreline.
